Stila In The Light tutorial

Hello everyone, today I have a quick and easy tutorial for you using the Stila In The Light palette, but all it requires is a black, bronze, and highlight shade which you can get in most palettes. First I used Ebony (black) all over the lid, and on top of that put Gilded Gold (bronze) all over the lid and slightly under the lower lash line, then finished off with a bit of Bare in the inner corner.

I love easy looks like this, in my opinion it always looks better layering two shades than using one, and if you have quite a defined crease this can look better than the usual contouring eye look.

FOTD: Smoky eye

Working in a beauty hall, I often play with the makeup before or after the store closes or if there's no customers, and today this dark smoky eye was the result of that.

Let me know what you think and if you would like to see a tutorial, honestly I can't remember what products I used for this but I will happily make a tutorial for a similar look as smoky eyes are my favourite to do!

Sensuous Burgundy tutorial

I came up with this simple and bold eye look today while playing with my KIKO colour seduction palette in '02 sensuous burgundy'. Its a great palette with amazing quality shadows and the colours are to die for.

I finished off the look with a bit of green eyeliner on the waterline, a coat of mascara and my go to cat eye.

I even made a tutorial for you lucky people. I love using the masking tape trick to create sharp eyeshadow looks but if you don't have any you can always clean up afterwards using a facial wipe. The shimmers in this palette do have a bit of fall out so cleaning up afterwards is wise. As you can see this is a very easy look to accomplish using only 4 shades and a base, I use the NYX jumbo eye pencil in 'milk' for this.

Please let me know in the comments below what you think and if you'll be trying out this look.

Hello world

So this is my first blog post, welcome to Wanderlust and Ramblings!

This will be primarily a beauty blog. I will be posting tutorials and FOTDs, maybe even the odd tag or more personal post, but makeup is my true passion. I'm always experimenting with new looks and could never be bored with an eyeshadow palette in front of me. Makeup is even part of my job, I'm a personal shopper in Debenhams where I give advice to customers and do makeovers.

I'm a huge fan of baking, travelling the world and Harry Potter. So this blog might become a mixture of ramblings on these and many more topics. I hope you like it.
